MBG Bathroom Remodel: A Contemporary Showcase

AfterVanityOn average, a bathroom remodel costs about $10,000, but here in some of California’s more exclusive ZIP codes, you can easily add another zero to that cost. But you should be able to recoup at least 62% of that cost when you go to sell, which is a good reason to go for that remodel. Plus, you get to enjoy a beautiful bathroom while you live in your house.

Our latest bathroom remodel showcases the latest trends in bathroom styling, but more importantly, it came in on budget and on time, taking us about three weeks to complete. We were able to remodel this bathroom for around $22,000 (saving the client over $3,000) because of the relationships we’ve built with our vendors over the years we’ve been in business.

AfterThe soft contemporary design is emphasized by the bathroom’s details. A wood grain-patterned tile on the walls and floors encourages the eye to follow a linear path from floor to ceiling. The white floating Shaker-style cabinets hide electrical outlets and provide a clean, uncluttered countertop. The varied elevation of the countertop between the double sinks provides a seated vanity, a perfect area for makeup application or personal grooming.

The square-edged Caesarstone countertops pick up the color of the floor and wall tile, and the inverted sconces over the matching Craftsman mirrors provide flattering lighting.

The shower is encased in half-inch frameless glass and features mosaic accents in the recessed shelf and floor. A custom infinity linear drain is installed to catch the water from the two showerheads: a rain showerhead in the ceiling and a standard showerhead placed 6 inches above average.
